Jaya Kuasa Sdn. Bhd., was founded by the late YBhg Dato' Jugra Setia DiRaja Tan Kok Hua (also founder of Tan Kok Hua Construction Sdn. Bhd.) and was incorporated on 13th February 1980 as a CIDB G7 civil engineering, construction, development, services and investment company.

The company status on 27.01.2016 was upgraded from a private limited company to a public company by the Companies Commission of Malaysia. Jaya Kuasa has appointed, a IPO consultant and advisor, IPO Partners Limited for listing on the OTC Stock Exchange, New York.

Jaya Kuasa Berhad's current Board of Directors include Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Suleiman Bin Mohamed (Chairman) who is also the Chairman for the public listed company of Xin Hwa Holdings Berhad, Dato’ Indera Syed Norulzaman Bin Syed Kamarulzaman (Deputy Chairman), Dato’ Setia Dr JP Tan (President & CEO), Datuk Faridah Binti Abu Hassan (Vice President), Tan Sri Datin Paduka Seri Hajah Zaleha Ismail (Group Chairman), Low Yee Doo (VP Finance) and Muhammad Taquiddin Halim (VP Investment).

We have built up good track records and financial strength and therefore have the capacity and capability to undertake any major size of construction projects on Turnkey basis (Design & Build), Deferred Payment, Build Operate & Transfer (BOT), Build Lease & Transfer (BLT) and Private Financial Initiative (PFI) Contracts.

Projects which were undertaken by the company included: Hospitals, Mosques, Roads, Bridges, Water Treatments, Utility Systems and major civil and building structures.

Jaya Kuasa Berhad had completed numerous buildings, civil and infrastructure projects since its inception and the company is managed by a team of professionals, dedicated, qualified & experienced personnel. The company is proud to have completed no less than 60 buildings, which have included commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, corporate complexes and residential projects. Current tender bids include the development of IPP Power Plants, Hydro and Coal Fired USC largely in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Jaya Kuasa Berhad has invested on various projects with numerous local and international strategic partners, namely, China Nuclear Industry Fifth Construction Co. Ltd., Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation III (SEPCOIII), Pahang Technology Resources Sdn. Bhd., HSS Engineers Berhad, KUB Malaysia Berhad, SMEC (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Warisan Harta Energy Venture Sdn. Bhd., BTN Power (M) Sdn. Bhd., on projects such as 2x300MW Coal Fired Power Plant with International partner, PT Bantaeng Sigma Energi, also a proposed 2x200MW Coal Fired Power Plant at Kalimantan, Indonesia with partner PT Abana Gema Mentari. Together with the company’s international collaboration partners the company is poised to tender bid for bigger government contracts in Malaysia and globally.

In Malaysia, Jaya Kuasa Berhad has collaborated with Pahang Technoiogy Resources Sdn. Bhd., in submitting a proposal for a 2x660MW Coal Fired Power Plant in Pahang and for the property development subsidiary Jaya Kuasa Berhad have proposed joint venture to develop two parcels of land with SUDC and Pertubuhan Pengakap Malaysia in Sabah.
